The Concourse Vision
We Are Evolving! Branscombes Pond

It took over 10 years to build the original Grand Concourse walkway network. As the communities of St. John's, Mount Pearl and Paradise continue to expand and grow, so does our walkway network. The Grand Concourse has also taken on an extensive maintenance management program for the walks within the City of St. John's. Environmental initiatives, park and open space development, and special projects have also become part of our regular works program.
In the very near future we will also be offering consulting and design services to the NL Department of Tourism, Culture and  Recreation which is a Grand Concourse member. Under this agreement we will soon be able to offer assistance to any community in Newfoundland and Labrador hoping to develop a quality trail network in its neighbourhood. If you want to develop a trail in your town, we can help!

The Grand Concourse Authority
Mission Statement
The Grand Concourse Authority is dedicated to the continued development and expansion of our award-winning walkway network that stretches across three of our province's major communities. We are also committed to the enhancement and protection of this network through regular maintenance and upgrading, environmental initiatives, open space and park development, promotion and public education. We are seeking to improve the quality of life of residents in our region and along the Grand Concourse by encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle within a natural setting.
We want every community to experience the benefits that a high quality walkway system can bring to residents, communities, and visitors; therefore, we are committed to sharing our knowledge and experience across the province through consulting services and published materials.
